Competition BBQ

In recent years the world of Competition BBQ has grown both in the number of contests held each year and the amount of prize money awarded.  This page is intended to provide information to those who wish to involve themselves in Competition BBQ by participating or by reading about those who participate on a regular basis.

The LPQue BBQ Championship is being sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).  It is not essential that a BBQ contest have sanctioning, but the LPQue Sponsor felt that the benefits of sanctioning by the KCBS were very important and well worth the extra cost.  Please explore the KCBS, and other links provided below to learn more about Competition BBQ.
