Location / Schedule

The LPQue 2 will be held in Knoxville, Iowa. The contest site is located on the north side of Knoxville on Highway 14. Just across from Advance Transmission Auto Center on the west side of Highway 14. The address for Advance is 2305 North Lincoln Street, Knoxville, Iowa.

The contest will be held on private property that consists of 18 acres. The teams will have plenty of room, but will need to set up on at grass surface. No electricity or shade is available so teams will have to supply their own. There is city water available at one location on the property. Portable toilets will be provided.

There will be one food vendor on site, but Knoxville has several fast food places at the other end of town. And with racing in town there will be several food vendors much closer to the contest site.

The largest grocery store in town is Hy-Vee. The Race Track is approximately 1 mile from the contest site. Lodging in Knoxville is full because of the races. But there should be lodging available in several of the small towns near Knoxville. But it is suggested that you book early if you need lodging.

The overall schedule for this contest will be similar to most KCBS contests. On site arrival and meat inspection for the teams on Friday June 4, 2010. Mandatory Cook's meeting late afternoon on June 4th. Meats turned in for judging starting at noon on Saturday June 5th. Awards ceremony as soon as possible in the afternoon of June 5th.
